But, I'm loving the juice at the moment. lol

thanks for the tip about the fruits - mine is ok with bananas and such but does make a note that it comes out as a puree rather than a juice.

and - I saved some of the extra carrot juice thinking I'd mix it with something later - but I guess I'll toss it now!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12416478929643863722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8913587525785298444.post-81253673228599224232009-04-27T19:39:00.000-05:002009-04-27T19:39:00.000-05:00I'm a sucker for informercials, and before I d...I'm a sucker for informercials, and before I discovered that fact I bought a juicer.

It *is* fun to watch the juice come out and fresh juice does taste great, but what a pain to clean. And mine isn't even that bad compared to some.

I've used it a few times, but it just sits in a hard to reach cupboard out of the way most of the time. I paid about $100 for it new plus shipping, so it seems a waste to get rid of it. But I really should if I don't use it...

I found that for juice, I really like one red apple, one green apple, and a carrot or two (depending on the size of the carrots). Always drink it right away. Even half a day later it doesn't taste as good, and a day or two later it starts to get gross.

Btw, you might want to read the manual about what fruits are okay. Mine specifically says no banana and a few other fruits, because it doesn't make juice (it'll just clog the machine). It also says not to put anything but the "ok" fruits and veggies in there, since milk/yogurt/etc will clog the machine and make it wear out faster.

For $10 you got a great deal. Even if you end up not using it much like me, so what? Use it a couple of times and you will have made enough juice that costs $10 store bought. :)aprilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12946968627887624127noreply@blogger.com
